I have only one thing to say. Next time I will stay for longer, not only one night.
Like the old world appeal and great setting
Quiet location in a leafy suburb of Cape Town where I could concentrate on drafting my current book
Having returned a number of times to the Vineyard, its staff have become familiar ... and sometimes just a bit too familiar. Friendliness is welcome but sometimes a bit overdone. Slightly more dignified reserve would be wise
There was a problem over the room I had booked. We were not allocated a mountain facing room. This was aknowledged by the staff and we were reallocated. This did involve a 5 hour wait, but the staff were very helpful and contrite.
Their signature dish of "line fish in beer batter" was not as good as it used to be. (soggy chips). This was our 7th consecutive stay at the Vineyard. Overall it it is in my opinion the best hotel in Cape Town.
It was centrally situated for my purpose, the service was very good and friendly. They are still renovating and the hammering did start a little early but when it is done it will be worthwhile.
Unpretentious but stylish & reflecting a strong south african/ cape town atmosphere. Friendly staff & very responsive to personal requests amazing view of mountains from bedroom beautiful indigenous garden to wnder in fabulous spa & gym
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vineyard. Beautiful setting, comfortable and location excellent. Staff efficient and friendly.
Out room was on the small side. The bathwater not hot. My wife said the hair dryer not efficient. The restuarant, the Square, was uncomfortbly cold. Did not enjoy going to the underground parking from the outside. Hope the comments help.
We had a very special weekend - the Vineyard for me is very special - I have stayed there several times before! The spa was excellent, the food is great and just generaly thier staff are wonderful.
the staff were very helpful! The spa was fabulousIt was good for business Convenient for meetings and shopping.
Not so great if you are a smoker.
Great value for money, excellent breakfast and service in general. Stylish, great location. Very good gym. Free wi-fi for first 200mb a day.
Small note - the hotel advertises iPod stations in rooms - which is not accurate...
The hotel staff are very accommodating and professional. The location is breathtaking and there are great gardens, a spa, pool and superb views of the mountains.
Can't fault the Vineyard Hotel & Spa on anything.
We loved the staff! Everyone friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Clearly they are all happy to be working at the Vineyard and it shows! We were thrilled to get an upgrade from a courtyard room to one with a mountain view- will definitely come back next year! The garden is stunning, a mini kirstenbosch, we walked in it nearly every day and found something new and wonderful every walk. Loved the tortoise. All in all it was a very pleasurable stay.
The room was too dark- even with all the lights on it was not bright enough for reading of for working at the desk. The food at Squares restaurant was mostly good but on occasion not good- eg steak tough and almost inedible on two occasions. The breakfasts were superb, we invited guests for breakfast on several occasions. We wondered about the ventilation in the toilets- why does air blow into the room instead of being extracted out of the toilet? And lastly a very minor issue- the towel rail does not heat up in room 344- it there did seem to be a button for heating it up but it didnt work.
Very relaxing and peaceful
Un heated outdoor pool
The restaurant staff are very friendly and efficient and make one feel at home.
wonderful staff, breakfast, beautiful gardens and the view!!!!!!!!!
poor internet access and lighting/ power points in my room
